1934
Three generations ago, Aris Verduyn started with sand, and later bitumen transport. He saw it had a future… and he was right. His business grew steadily. In 1965, his son Joop Verduyn took over. He pursued the growth and opened an office in Belgium in order to serve Northwest Europe even better.
1997
His son Arjo took over. He led the company into the modern age. Belgium was considerably strengthened and became the hub for traffic, planning and administration for North-western Europe. The headquarters remained in Hoofddorp. In 2007, an office was successfully opened in Constanta, Romania, complete with traffic, planning and administration. Central and Eastern Europe are now served from there.
2007
In addition to the recently-started container transport and bromine transport, we also started transporting fuel in 2007 thanks to an acquisition, making the Verduyn Group stand on four steady pillars, ready for the future.
1934
Drie generaties geleden startte Aris Verduyn met zandvervoer en later met bitumentransport. Daar zag hij toekomst in… en terecht. Zijn bedrijf groeide gestaag. In 1965 nam zijn zoon Joop Verduyn het over. Die zette de groei door en startte een vestiging in België om Noordwest-Europa nog beter te kunnen bedienen.
1997
Zijn zoon Arjo nam het roer over. Hij leidde het bedrijf de moderne tijd in. België werd aanmerkelijk versterkt en de traffic, planning en administratie voor Noordwest-Europa werd daar centraal gevestigd. Het hoofdkantoor bleef in Hoofddorp. In 2007 is er succesvol een vestiging compleet met traffic, planning en administratie geopend in Constanta te Roemenië. Van daaruit wordt nu Centraal- en Oost-Europa bediend.
2007
Naast het onlangs gestarte containertransport en het broomtransport zijn we in 2007 door een bedrijfsovername begonnen met brandstofvervoer, zodat de Verduyn Group nu staat op vier stevige pilaren en klaar is voor de toekomst.
